Christmas is notably a time of giving, with families and friends sharing gifts among one another. It’s also a time for people to lean into their charitable side and give to those who are less fortunate or are experiencing times of trouble. In light of this,  Sydney Legacy has partnered with Darlinghurst’s Floreat to create a special Christmas wreath ($150) to celebrate the festive season and honour servicemen and women. With 25% of the price of the wreath going to Sydney Legacy, this will enable them to support the families of veterans this Christmas.

Made with native eucalyptus leaves and finished with silk poppies as a nod to those who have served, the wreath is a symbol of both the festivities and remembrance. As many families decorate their front doors with wreaths for Christmas, Sydney Legacy and Floreat are proud to have created something special that will look great at the front of your home as well as give back to the community in the spirit of the season.

Christmas is a particularly emotional time for many of the families supported by Legacy. It may be that they are celebrating Christmas without a member of their family, are struggling with the cost that comes with the festive period or find themselves alone at Christmas. Legacy ensures that, through the festive season and beyond, they will continue to provide social and financial support to around 43,000 widows, children and dependants across the nation. This support can range from a Legatee mentoring a child who has lost a parent, or the supplementation of income when a veteran has been injured in their service.

The Legacy Christmas Wreath will be available for $150 from Floreat for delivery in the Sydney metropolitan area, with 25% of the sale price going directly to Sydney Legacy.
